Do something great this weekend!

We hope that as many as possible can make it to Saron Graveyard on Saturday 04 June from 10.00am. We’d love to see you there!

Not forgetting that we have a Volunteer Day on Sat 04 June that you are cordially invited to please note the following:-
COMMITTEE MEETING – Angel Inn, Thurs 14 July, 6.30pm
VOLUNTEER DAY – Saron Graveyard, Sat 16 July, 10.00am
We hope to see you at one or more of these events.

Two events to support this week

We would really like to see as many as possible at our next Friends of Saron meeting.

The meeting will be held at The Willows, Troedyrhiw at 6.30pm on Thursday 3 December. So please turn up if you are able and find out how this project is progressing and have your say.

Weather permitting, Friends of Saron will hold our next Volunteer Day at Saron Graveyard, Troedyrhiw from 10.00am on Saturday 5 December.

Please call in if you can to support us or to give us an hour or two of your time.

Spring Volunteer Day, 13th April 2013

Undeterred by the worsening drizzle and the unpromising date thirteen brave volunteers attended this event. This  ‘hat trick’ of 13’s in April was not enough to put off our intrepid crew!

Many thanks must go to the following for braving the elements:-

Paul Kent of Keep wales Tidy          Simon Collier             Stuart Johnson

Frances Collier                                      Steve Jones                Andrew Collier

Steve Edwards                                       Phil Howells               Stephen Collier

Peter Simmons                                      Sheila Walker             JoeConaghan

David Collier

After two hours, and looking more like ‘drowned rats’ than community volunteers, it was decided to stop work and defer the remainder of the day’s programme to  a later date when it is hoped the weather will be more favourable.
